Dunes
The coastal dunes have been formed during the last 5 thousand years by the interaction among the sea, the wind, the sand and the vegetation. This complex ecosystem stretches for 600 km along the Rio Grande do Sul coast, since Chuí creek until Mampituba river ( Torres), forming the largest system of sandy beaches of the world .
