Itapeva State Park
Contiguous to the city of Torres, the Itapeva State Park's main objectives are to protect ecosystems and rare or threatened species of fauna and flora. Also to promote scientific research activities, environmental education and ecological tourism. It shelters dunes environments, restinga woodlands, dry and flooded fields, swamp, peat bogs and Paludosa forest. In this way, the park has got the important role of conserving one of the last remnants of the characteristic landscape of the state coastal plain.
