Com o objetivo de manter medidas de precaução ao coronavírus, a Prefeitura de Torres comunicou nesta segunda-feira, dia 16 de março, que vai adiar a realização do 32º Festival Internacional de Balonismo marcado entre os dias 29 de abril e 3 de maio.
A administração municipal segue as recomendações do Ministério da Saúde que, por precaução, determina que eventos de massa devem ser adiados ou cancelados em todo país. Nesta última quarta-feira, 11 de março, a Organização Mundial de Saúde (OMS) levou a efeito a Declaração de Pandemia Mundial do coronavírus.
O comunicado do adiamento do Festival foi apresentado pelo secretário municipal de Turismo, Cultura e Esporte, Fernando Nery, no final da tarde desta segunda. Neste sentido, a gestão municipal reafirma o compromisso, em primeiro lugar, com o bem-estar da população de forma geral.
