The Lime Beach has got it's curious name because there were, on the surroundings untill 1940's, roasting ovens used with sea shells for the production of Limestone, wich was used for many purposes( from medicines to house construction )
That's an unique scenario, like no other around. It's surrounded by the rocks of Morro do Farol and the cliffs of morro das Furnas. It also has sports infra structure and Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes yard by the shore.

The sidewalk stretches trough 800 meters of extension.

Being a very traditional beach, it's the favorite beach for those who have houses nearby. It offers restaurants bars and hostels infra structure and it's right in front of the Guarita State Park gate .
